November 2, 2009 | SeattlePark Place Property in Seattle, built in 1971, has achieved LEED Platinum EB certification. This is an incredible milestone for an existing building. MacMiller was on the team that transformed the vintage building — being responsible for airflow measurement of all outdoor air to insure a high quality indoor environment.
Shoreline City Hall Goes Green

Shoreline City Hall and Civic Center, a MacMiller design|build project, wins an A+ for energy efficiency and is under review for LEED Gold certification.
MacDonald-Miller receives $1.5 million from Washington state for an innovative energy-efficiency program optimizing commercial buildings serviced by Seattle Steam Company.

The $1.5 million loan will be used by MacMiller to implement utility-based, energy-efficiency and renewable-energy measures in buildings serviced by Seattle Steam Company.

With community gifts of $82,265 and in-kind giving of $20,513, MacDonald-Miller supported organizations such as Virginia Mason Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Swedish Medical Center Foundation for Community Care, Ryther Child Center, Puget Sound Blood Center, Northwest Harvest, United Way and Toys for Tots. An internal committee steers “The Giving Fund” at MacDonald-Miller where giving requests are evaluated and granted - based on employee involvement and level of need.

Energy Optimization Featured at Sustainability Breakfast
